Namaste

My morning practice of Yoga inspired this series of cubist masks. The cubist style I choose allowed me to create faces that were asexual, thus avoiding any specific gender role/identity. The reason for this is that I wanted to create a spiritual presence that was not connected to any particular personality. Namaste is a greeting that is commonly used by Yoga instructors and means, “I honor that place in you where the whole Universe resides. And when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you, there is only one of us.”
