It was interesting to create functional art
It was interesting to create functional art…to see how art and other objects can relate to one another in a dynamic way. The fawn was also challenging in it’s own way. I also wanted to create contract with this piece by making the stand cubist. The fawn is smooth and peaceful while the stand vibrates with energy and collision.

The owl bookends look great that must be a cherished piece. The fawns plinth to me with its energy accentuates the vulnerability of the newborn, but the way it embraces the ground also seems to show its at one with that and pulling strength from the earth.
